A new addition to enrich the large network of partners of the Foundation for Digital Sustainability: that of CAST, pioneer and leader in Software Intelligence. Massimo Crubellati, Senior Vice President and Country Manager of CAST, explains in detail, in this interview, what Software Intelligence is, what relationships this topic has with sustainability, and the reasons that pushed his company to undertake this new partnership: graduated in 1990 in Information Sciences at the University of Milan, after experiences in primary system integrators in Italy and abroad, he has gained, in his 15 years of activity in CAST, a vast experience in the construction of Software Intelligence solutions to support the governance of ICT organizations and software R&D. Since 2015, he has led the experimentation and then implementation of the first measurement standard for Digital Sustainability in CAST, a standard issued by the Object Management Group now in ISO approval (ISO 5055-3), which allows for the certification of emission efficiency, the calculation of the GHG reduction target, the establishment of the actions of the reduction plans and the estimate of the cost for their implementation. In this perspective, to give a proactive contribution, he has led CAST to join the Foundation for Digital Sustainability.
