On November 8 and 9, the States General of Digital Sustainability took place in Bologna. For the third consecutive year, in the setting of Palazzo di Varignana, the community of over 150 CIOs, CInOs and CxOs of the largest Italian public and private companies formed by the Foundation for Digital Sustainability, and supported for this edition by Deda Next, DXC Technology, Olidata, IBM Italia, R1 Group and Sopra Steria, met to discuss how digital and sustainability must hybridize in a common path representing a strategic lever for the future of the country. “This year too, meeting for two days here in Varignana allowed us to share problems, approaches and solutions, build common strategies, understand how starting from digital transformation we can do good for our company and the country”, explained Stefano Epifani, President of the Foundation for Digital Sustainability. “This year we expanded the community to other business areas, because we are convinced that the ongoing transformation requires a deeply multidisciplinary approach and has impacts on the entire company: for this reason it is important to create moments of comparison between the different functions”.
The event had a dense and diversified program, including parallel sessions on specific topics, round tables between industry experts and working groups aimed at defining operational strategies. New this year was the introduction of Balint comparison groups: a method that encourages shared reflection on relational and decision-making dynamics within organizations.
